1 week in the Island paradise
It is this indescribable longing for the travel to far-off lands, the paradise with white beaches and turquoise sea that kisses the deep blue sky. And if there is a paradise, then it is Zanzibar, one of the most beautiful and colorful islands in Africa, located in the Indian Ocean off the east coast of Tanzania.
The archipelago consists of the two main islands of Unguja – often simply called Zanzibar – and Pemba, as well as several subsidiary islands. With its charming sights and beautiful beaches, Zanzibar is a true holiday paradise. Sun worshipers and those seeking relaxation will get their money’s worth here, as will water sports enthusiasts.
Enjoy a week- after your safari or climbing Kilimanjaro – of colorful culture on this wonderful spice island. Stroll through the streets of Stone Town, the birthplace of Freddy Mercury, and let yourself be infected by the cheerful serenity of the locals.
Zanzibar including the neighboring islands (for example Mafia Island) has so much to offer. An impressive, colorful underwater world offers unforgettable dives. Go on a boat tour to see dolphins in the wild or take a trip to the turtle sanctuary. This week will be a wonderful end to your Tanzania adventure.
In tropical Zanzibar the weather is very warm all year round. However, the months of March to May and November/December are the rainy season. If you are planning a beach holiday, the months of June to October are recommended as the best time to travel to Zanzibar. March and December are also good times for surfing. If you particularly want to explore the landscape and culture, then it’s season all year round.
